CineCiutat keeps growing, and this time towards something we were missing: a film club. Every cinema like ours has one; ours, though, comes with a condition: it's for people over 65.

CineClub +65 is a monthly gathering with breakfast, a film and a conversation. We introduce the film before the screening and talk about it afterwards, which is when the good part starts. Because here's the thing: the audience at this club has seen more cinema than we have, and watched many of those films open in cinemas that no longer exist. You don't compete with that.

We begin on Tuesday 8 September with El ser querido, by Rodrigo Sorogoyen: a family drama about the ties between us, the wounds we carry and cinema itself. From then on, the first Tuesday of every month.

How the morning goes:

• 10.30 doors open and breakfast
• 10.45 introduction
• 11.00 screening and conversation
