There are directors we like. And then there is Paolo Sorrentino.

At CineCiutat we present the Sorrentino Universe because his cinema is not something you watch in passing: you savour it, you debate it, you quote it the next day over coffee. It is baroque, yes. Excessive, also. But beneath all that artifice lies something simple: characters trying to understand why life did not turn out the way they imagined.
