Diàlegs amb Ciutat: a new season
Diàlegs amb Ciutat: a new season
11 August 2026

There are ways of shaping a city that don't run through the big headlines, but through something far more everyday and far more valuable: sitting down to think together.

That's the idea behind the return of Diàlegs amb Ciutat, CineCiutat's cycle of open talks. The format is simple and radical at once: someone explains what they know, the audience asks, and the conversation is built between everyone. No rush, plenty of context, and a real appetite for understanding the world right next to us.

This year brings an important change. We're not the ones choosing who speaks: we're opening a call so that people propose the topics and the voices themselves. If you have a subject in your hands, a job, a piece of research, a well-documented obsession, and you want to share it, the door is open.

The possible subjects are broad: science and technology, psychology and sociology, cinema, art and literature, the historical and cultural heritage of Mallorca, history, philosophy, politics. Or whatever you feel like bringing. The list is a guide, not a limit.

There will be five sessions, always on a Saturday: 19 September, 17 October, 21 November, and 12 and 19 December. Each talk lasts around an hour and a half, approximately.

Diàlegs amb Ciutat aims to be exactly that: a small civic laboratory, rigorous and close at hand, for rethinking our surroundings through culture and critical thinking.

*Submitting a proposal does not guarantee participation. All proposals will be reviewed, and the final selection will depend on availability and on how each one fits within the programme's overall range of topics.
