Nicknamed “The Greatest of All Time,” Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was Formula One’s most promising phenomenon of the 1990s until an on-track accident nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic driver-for-hire who is contacted by his former teammate Rubén Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling Formula One team on the brink of bankruptcy. Rubén convinces Sonny to return to Formula One for one last chance to save the team and become the best in the world. His teammate will be rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team’s star driver who is determined to set his own pace. But, as the engines roar, Sonny’s past begins to catch up with him, and he discovers that in Formula One, your teammate is your fiercest rival, and the road to redemption cannot be traveled alone.
