Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup d'état, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent from Santiago to Easter Island by their station chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amidst the island’s iconic statues—and as the veteran colleagues grapple with their own dark pasts and the conspiracies of the present—Chris’s newfound connection with two rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to take everyone’s journey to this remote paradise in an unexpected direction.
